Our Experience
Dr. Don Jolley (LLD, ECFO, C. Mgr.) is the principal and founder of Response Specialties. He has over 30 years of experience in government and private sector through consulting, fire service management, emergency management, paramedic/emergency medical systems, and corporate/financial services. Don, and a team of associates, possess expertise that is unique as we focus on innovative solutions to the local challenges specific to our clients. We do not perform or produce "cookie cutter" work or solutions and our reporting format is dictated directly by the expectations and desires of the client.

Don Jolley is widely recognized as a leader, innovator and mentor in public safety, with extensive experience building organizational strength and efficiency. Response Specialties looks at problems globally and solves them strategically, through evidence-based critical thinking. Clients receive realistic recommendations specific to their unique challenges and conditions.
When appropriate, Response Specialties utilizes experts who participate on as as-needed basis. A project team is specifically constructed to address the requirements of each client. Response Specialties only respond to RFP's which are well-suited to our skill sets and experience and those where the client is truly engaged in finding long-term solutions.
Don, and contract team members, have served in executive positions in public safety and on industry-related boards and advisory councils. We have participated in, and completed, extensive work at local, provincial/territorial and national levels including development of legislative change directed at fire service standards.
Don, has an Honorary Doctorate for his contributions to public safety as well as advanced education and professional designations including Executive Chief Fire Officer (ECFO), Emergency Manager, and Chartered Professional Manager (CPM), and Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA/CMA).
