Dr. Don Jolley (LLD, ECFO, C. Mgr.) is the principal and founder of Response Specialties. He and his small team possess over 30 years each of experience in government and private sector through consulting, fire service management, emergency management, paramedic/emergency medical systems, and corporate/financial services. This team of expertise is unique as we focus on innovative solutions to the local challenges specific to our clients. We do not perform or produce "cookie cutter" work or solutions and our reporting format is dictated directly by the expectations and desires of the client.
Don Jolley is widely recognized as a leader, innovator and mentor in public safety, with extensive experience building organizational strength and efficiency. Response Specialties looks at problems globally and solves them strategically, through evidence-based critical thinking. Clients receive realistic recommendations specific to their unique challenges and conditions.
When appropriate, Response Specialties utilizes experts who participate on as as-needed basis. A project team is specifically constructed to address the requirements of each Request for Proposal (RFP). Response Specialties only respond to RFP's which are well-suited to our skill sets and experience and those where the client is truly engaged in finding long-term solutions.
Don, and all of his contract team members have served in executive positions on many industry-related boards and advisory councils. We have participated in, and completed, extensive work at local, provincial/territorial and national levels including development of legislative change directed at fire service training standards.
Don, as well as other team members, have advanced education and professional designations including Executive Chief Fire Officer, Emergency Manager, Local Government Administrator, Chartered Professional Manager, and others.
We are members of the NFPA, Canadian and British Columbia Fire Chief Associations, and have many more professional affiliations.
